SCOPE
Scope is the academic journal of University College Utrecht, managed by a five to six-people editorial board. They publish a selection of academic papers from the three disciplines of Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities, combined with art, photography, poetry and creative writing by the student body. Between 2017 and 2019 I worked on the board as layout designer, and was responsible for the rebranding of the magazine, introducing new fonts, styles, and a logo. Between 2018 and 2019 I combined this task with the position of Editor-in-Chief.
Top: Covers of the four small 'zine' editions I worked on between 2017 and 2019. Bottom: the main academic editions I worked on. We worked with different themes throughout, ranging from 'wet' to 'love' to 'posthuman'.
Themes were conveyed through variations of the logo
